Portage senior Kyle Schiller suffered multiple face fractures when he dove into another player's knee while trying to catch the ball against Crown Point on April 24, 2008. After surgery to reset his nose, Schiller returned to the field two weeks later with a face mask on his helmet to protect his fractured face.
